Halo Legends: An Xbox Live Anime Series

If the often undercooked storyline and forced biblical references of the Halo video game series left you wanting more, Microsoft will soon have it. Partnering with anime pioneer Shinji Aramaki (creator Appleseed Ex Machina) and Mamoru Oshii (director of the Ghost in the Shell movies), Microsoft’s 343 Industries is creating an anime series based on the game universe, called “Halo Legends,” to debut this fall. Halo’s franchise development director, Frank O’Conner — whom you may remember as Frankie from Bungie’s weekly Halo updates — said viewers will “watch new tales unfold in really rich, visually dynamic ways.” And that’s about all we know.
