Previously limited to hand-selected invitees, Google has opened its Google Wave to the greater Internet community. The feature can now be accessed in Google Labs. You can go ahead and get started here.

Google Wave is a productivity tool that allows multiple users to collaborate on projects. It allows for real-time communication and collaboration so that, for instance, employees from different offices around the country or world can have plan a company project. Google cites that it has been used within business, educational, creative and journalistic settings, among others.

Google said that Wave is now faster and more stable than it was originally.
