Google is already a powerhouse all over the Internet and now it’s making another attempt at making a grab in social networking. The company will integrate a new networking element–called Google Buzz–into its Gmail services.

According to Google, the service is designed as a “way to start conversations about the things you find interesting” and will seamlessly integrate social networking with the list of friends and contacts you already have in Gmail.  Google introduced Buzz at a press conference in Mountain View today.

Five features underpin Buzz: following people you email and chat with regularly, sharing content from around the Web, sharing information in public and private, receiving social updates via your inbox, and receiving recommended content. The mobile version allows you to tag posts with your location. Buzz also allows you to connect other social networking from sites like Twitter and Flickr.

So, for those that are too lazy to log into a whole separate Facebook or Twitter account, you can now have all that social networking greatness right in your email. Google will be getting Buzz out to Gmail users over the next few days.
