Google Images Tweaks SafeSearch, Adds Rights Filters
Jul 10, 2009 - By Jared NewmanGoogle does a decent job of shielding our virgin eyes from the horrors of Internet images, but sometimes a little extra protection is needed. In its image searches, Google is now making it easier to filter out the nasty stuff with a drop down SafeSearch tab, accessible directly from the search page. That wasn’t the only feature the search giant added. Bloggers and other photo hounds will delight in new filtering options that can hone in on images under Creative Commons or GNU Free Documentation licensing. They can even select the level of desired usage rights. For what it’s worth, this stuff — along with recent filters for picture type and color — make my job easier, at least. [via PC World]
