Google and Nintendo Team Up for Search Game
By Chris Weiss
Depending upon the specific term involved, Internet searches can be either purely utilitarian or a mix of utility and fun. Google and Nintendo are hoping to capitalize on the fun aspect of mindless Internet searching by releasing a new video game called And-Kensaku.
According to the EIN press release: “The game reportedly features more than 10,000 search phrases and trends from Google, with more accessible through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. These search terms are used in a number of multiplayer minigames, including games where players guess which terms or trends are more popular.”
Doesn’t sound that fun does it? But who knows, it could prove to be addicting.
And-Kensaku will be released in Japan on April 29. No international release date was given, but I doubt many of you are jumping out of your seats over this one, so we’ll see it if and when we see it. [EIN via UberGizmo]
