Glimpse of the First Windows Phone 7 Handset
Feb 28, 2010 - By Chris Weiss
Following up on last week’s story that an LG mobile phone featuring Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 7 operating system could hit the market as early as September (or as late as November), Engadget got the inside dish on the phone from Microsoft’s Aaron Woodman who gave a sneak peak on The Engadget Show. Outside of the fact that it’s the first hardware sporting the new iteration of Microsoft’s mobile OS, there’s nothing too game-changing about the phone. It’s said to be slightly thicker than the iPhone and features a slide-out Qwerty. Other specs include a 5-megapixel camera and headphone jack. Clearly nothing to wet your pants about.
Outside of those most basics of basics, little was released about the phone. It’s still a prototype and doesn’t even bear a model name yet (at least not one that was dropped into the conversation). If reports hold true, expect to see this one hit the market in the September-October-November timeframe. [via Engadget]
