Garmin Announces Two New Nuviphones, Excitement Remains in the Past
By Chris Weiss
The tragic story of the well-beyond-fashionably-late Garmin Nuviphone continues with two new contenders that Garmin-Asus plans to introduce at Mobile World Congress next week. Garmin will offer an Android-based Nuviphone in the way of the A50 and a Windows Mobile version called the M10.
The A50 is centered around a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen and includes 4 GB of internal storage, microSD expansion, 3MP camera with geo-tagging and accelerometer. It reportedly runs Android 1.6. To make that lack of specs right, Garmin does what Garmin does–includes a slew of built-in GPS navigation features standard, including turn-by-turn, maps and lane assist with junction view.
Those same navigation features carry over to the M10, which features a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, Windows Mobile 6.5.3, 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and 4 GB of internal storage. The phone includes location awareness built into key applications like email, calendar, messaging and browser.
Both devices will be available in Europe during the first half of 2010. No pricing was yet released. [Engadget via Dvice]

This author has 3rd rate fact find skills at best. If you think this phone is late its probable because you have is confused with the G60 which was announced 2yrs ago and released a few month ago.
The M10 and A50 were announed late Q4 2009 so to say it late is misguided, probably just boarderline moronic. As for the pricing and regions the phone will be distributed. I've found those detail in many other articles. The M10 will be sold in Asia, starting in Taiwan and moving to China shortly after. They already have one thousand preorders and can be picked up before the end of February. The A50 will be sold in Europe starting Q2 2010.
Do a little reasearch before you post your its not Apple so it must suck articles.

I wasn’t saying that these specific phones were late. The entire Nuvifone line was late–beginning with the G60. A revolutionary product when announced but launched past its prime. As for the pricing information, it wasn’t being offered when I published the article.
