fujitsu Fujitsu Not Giving Up On The Palmtop?

Hey, remember the “palmtop”? It was a big deal back in the ’90s, before they figured out you could put a processor and a color screen on a cell phone and have something a lot more awesome than a laptop so tiny you needed a pencil to poke the keys.

Obviously, somebody at Fujitsu is longing for the days of parachute pants, because the F-07C sounds like a palmtop to us.

To be fair, even the people who broke the story aren’t entirely sure it’s not a joke. Why? The above pictured beast has a literal hard switch that will let it choose between Windows 7 and Symbian.

Yeah, the Nokia OS that people used to care about until Apple wiped out Nokia as any sort of innovator. That Symbian. And we didn’t leave out a “Mobile”, it would use full-fledged Windows 7. And it has a 32GB SSD and an Intel Atom on board.

We’re kind of torn about whether or not this is legit. On the one hand, Japanese phones are so terrible and weird, and yet so advanced, we could see Fujitsu actually bringing something like this to market in Japan and it doing well.

On the other hand, Symbian? Really?
