Facebook’s Zuckerberg Loves Spotify. When’s the Acquisition?

Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has started a nice little rumor by professing his love for Spotify, an ad-supported streaming music service that’s making waves in Europe but isn’t available yet in the United States. As you can see above, Zuckerberg pronounced that “Spotify is so good,” leading TechCrunch to show its hand on rumors that Facebook and Spotify are in talks for a partnership. If it happened, the move would look like a direct challenge to MySpace, which recently acquired the music recommendation service iLike. It’s probably a matter of time before Facebook makes some sort of major play in music, but we’ll have to wait and see if Zuckerberg’s love is anything more than just a crush.
