DXG Introduces Simple, Inexpensive 3D Camcorder
By Chris Weiss
You may not be able to shoot stunning, Avatar-quality video on the new DXG-321 3D camcorder, but you will be able to capture your home videos in some sort of 3D. How good it will look is another question altogether.
The camcorder, which will be offered through novelty gadget retailers like Hammacher and Schlemmer and SkyMall, as opposed to more legitimate outlets, features two separate lenses that allow for 3D recording.
Outside of 3D, the camera is limited to SD-quality offering 800 x 480 resolution. It includes a seven-inch LCD screen for viewing content and will come in at a retail price of $600, a little cheaper than most 3D equipment will initially cost, but probably a little less “3D” too. No glasses are required for viewing the 3D effect on the LCD screen. [via CrunchGear]
