Don’t Hope for Apple Tablet at September Announcement

You’ve got to love Apple hysteria, with a rumor telling us not to get excited about another rumor. It appears Apple is having a keynote event on September 9, according to the usual “sources close to the company,” but it won’t be to announce the Apple tablet we’ve all been hoping for, dreaming of or huffing angrily about. Instead, the keynote will likely cover news about the iPod, along with changes to iTunes. Hey, there’s a rumor for both those stories, with alleged iPod Touch cameras and social features in iTunes. There’s even a new rumor to accompany the old ones — more speculation, actually — that Steve Jobs will make his first public appearance at the event. Anyone else ready for the straight-up truth?
