DJ Hero Price, Release Date Revealed, Sort Of

Amazon and Gamestop have jumped the gun and let us know what our DJ dreams are worth. Activision’s DJ Hero is priced on both Web sites at $119.99 for the Playstation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 version. The Playstation 2 version lists $20 cheaper at Amazon, but the same price as the others at Gamestop. The sites are also showing a release date of October 27, which makes sense, but could certainly change over the next few months. DJ Hero uses a turntable (seen above) to produce two-song dance mixes, such as Eminem’s “My Name Is” with Jay-Z’s “Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” with some songs adding optional backing guitar. A real turntable — albeit a cheap one — could be had for less, but this is so much easier. [Joystiq via Engadget]
