Dell Introduces Multitouch Monitor
By Chris Weiss
New multi-touch displays may be all the rage in the all-in-one market, but there’s no reason you have to get weighed down with a full system to enjoy the multitouch goodness of a sparkly, new monitor. The Dell SX2210T drops the cords that otherwise shackle multitouches to full computers, and lets you add an HD multitouch display to your existing PC. The 21.5-inch monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, contrast ratio of 1,000: 1 and includes a 2 MP integrated webcam with mic. Hook-up is taken care of through HDMI or DVI port.
The new monitor was originally found in stealth mode on Dell’s website prior to an official announcement, but is now available for $469…or as low as $15/month if you’d like to pay for it for the rest of your 20s. Multitouch zooming and panning will be available when the monitor is connected to a PC running Windows 7.
The SX2210 provides the perfect go-to solution for anyone that loves multitouch but doesn’t love the idea of dropping all that coin on a new all-in-one. Expect to see more monitors like this sprout up. [via Engadget]

Wow, absolute marketing genius. A day before Windows 7. They'll be selling the crap out of these at Best Buy, I guarantee it.
