Daily Apple Rumor: Two Tablets Coming

Well, this explains everything. The latest word from Envisioneering Group market researcher Richard Doherty says Apple created prototypes for two different tablets. One is like an oversizesd iPod, with a six-inch screen, he said, and the other is larger — probably the 8-inch to 10-inch model we’ve been hearing about recently. Doherty believes the smaller one will sell for $679, which is pretty precise for someone who doesn’t explain where the information is coming from and why he’s able to speak so openly about it. One or both models could reportedly launch as early as September, but as late as never given how wild all these rumors and speculation are getting. Meanwhile, the sheer volume of stories on this fabled tablet, or tablets as is the case now, has broken down my journalistic sensibilities, and I can no longer distinguish fantasy from reality.
