HBO1 CBS joins HBO and Cinemax for Comcast Web Video Service

Pushing more of its programming to Web-based viewers, Comcast has announced that it will be offering free CBS, HBO and Cinemax on the Web to its subscribers. This is great news to anyone that doesn’t want to pay premium prices but still wants to keep up with HBO originals and naked breasts propped up by hollow plot lines on Skinemax. HBO and Cinemax programming can be accessed via Comcast.net or Fancast.com. To start off with, the free content will be offered to around 5000 subscribers around the US and will be limited to 750 hours a month. Shows like True Blood, Entourage, Hung and Curb Your Enthusiasm will be among those offered in addition to a variety of movies. The programming will originally be set to stream with download capabilities being added later. [via Information Week]
