Chainsaw Rocket Launcher–Impractical, Yes. Sheer Awesome? Completely.

Ahhh, now that all the iPhone 4 chaos has finally been put to rest (hopefully), we can get on to more interesting matters. And to celebrate, we’re skipping the mundane software, cell phone and general tech news, and featuring something entirely impractical, outlandish and downright ridiculous. Yes, what could be more the antithesis of the hum-drum routine than a chainsaw rocket launcher? I think nothing.

This here is a design for what’s called the Rocket Propelled Chainsaws. Yes, it’s a rocket launcher that fires chainsaws. Designed to take care of those incessant zombie problems, the chainsaw rocket launcher allows you to saw through zombies while remaining a safe, DMV-recommended three car lengths away. That’s assuming you connect; good luck trying to load a whole chainsaw into a rocket launcher while a flesh-eating zombie bears down on your bones.

I don’t suspect we’ll see the Rocket Propelled Chainsaw showing up at the Home Depot anytime soon, but it sure would look good in just about every shoot-em-up video game ever. I just love how much thought and detail the designer put into a Rocket Propelled Chainsaw–if you’re gonna’ do it, do it right. [Unreality via Dvice]
