CES-Bound HP PalmPad LeaksBy Chris Weiss
After acquiring Palm and tabling all its other tablet projects, it would appear that HP is ready to launch its first device. In fact, it will have a family of three WebOS-based “PalmPads” ready for a CES launch, according to FoxNews.com.
The report indicates that the tablets will be powered by a new version of Palm’s WebOS. The sizes have not been finalized yet, but expect them to hover around the iPad’s 9.7-inch size.
A few features that will distinguish the PalmPads from the iPad include front- and rear-facing cameras, mini-HDMI port and a thinner profile. Oh yeah, and since HP/Palm aren’t in bed with AT&T, the PalmPad will offer 4G speeds over the Sprint network.
The new tablet is expected to hit the market in March of next year. [via Fox News]
