apple ipad1 Report: Next Generation of iPads to Include an iPad Mini?

A new Reuters’ report that sources a variety of anonymous third-party hardware manufacturers indicates that Apple may have a significantly smaller, lighter iPad to offer among its second-generation models. The source consulted for the story indicated that the shrunken iPad would be nearly half the size of the original.

On paper, Apple has denied the existence of a smaller 7-inch iPad, but then again, Apple’s M.O. is not saying a word until its own carefully orchestrated events, so it’s quite possible that such a device exists despite Apple’s denial.

Hulu Plus1 Hulu Introduces Its Subscription Service For 10 Bucks a Month

It’s rare that good news can come from a free service turning to a paid subscription service, but Hulu has done it. So far. That’s because Hulu’s new subscription service isn’t really the same as its popular free service–it’s an upgraded version called Hulu Plus. Users will still be able to access the same free content that includes TV shows and clips from major networks. Hulu Plus, which will require a subscription of $9.99 per month, will give users access to expanded content that can be viewed on more platforms than the standard version.

Kindle1 Are Paperback E Readers The Future?

I’ve long thought that what the e-reader market really needs is a solid selection of cheap, easy-to-use devices that do no more than display book text, and display it well. The likes of the iPad and color touchscreen tablets and dedicated readers can keep the technologically-obsessed market covered, while cheaper devices can appeal to those that actually enjoy simply reading books. People like your mom, grandma and Uncle Walter don’t need all the bells and whistles. They’re used to paying five or ten bucks for a simple paperback book, why would they want to spend $250 or $500 for that privilege?

Flower Grenades Bomb the Garden: Seed Toting Grenades Make Gardening Fun

Being that our demographic here at Crave is largely male, we ordinarily wouldn’t feature something having to do with gardening. Not to say that gardening is only for women, but even men that take pride in their vegetable/flower gardens aren’t cruising a gadget website looking for the latest hoe or weed whacker.

However, two things our kind of guys do love are military paraphernalia and smashing things, so these Flower Grenades were a must-include. Instead of digging, planting and covering, simply bomb your garden with a grenade and the ceramic casing will shatter, releasing the seeds into the soil.

Apple’s Steve Jobs has been making headlines over the past few weeks, responding directly to customer’s email inquiries. It seems that he should talk to his partners over at AT&T.

Earlier this week, an AT&T customer named Giorgio Galante emailed AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson with some complaints about the company’s new data plans. He didn’t hear anything back, so he emailed a second time.
