Cassettes Make a Comeback–To Hold Your iPod Nano
By Chris Weiss
Here’s a brilliant and simple little idea: take that pile of old cassettes that are only valuable during the rare road trip in your buddy’s old beater, tear out the tape, and router them to fit an iPod Nano, creating a new retro case. Here’s an idea that’s not so great: sell said cassette case for $49–even though it’s Canadian, that’s still like $46 to hide your Nano in an old Journey tape. While the price tag is a bit steep, and you could probably do this at home in about 25 minutes, these 45 Nano Cases are definitely a nice addition to your case collection. They’re also a great way of recycling some pretty embarassing music from ’88.
