Bing 910

It seems like just yesterday that we started not using Microsoft Bing for all our daily searches. Now the word is that Microsoft is getting ready to launch Bing 2.0. This is according to some random tweets that have since been deleted. The story goes that Microsoft showed off some upcoming Bing changes at the annual company meeting, and many were so amped up they just had to tweet all about it.  “Imagine seeing maps plus pics from the neighborhood of a restaurant to try” was one sample. Another read “bing + silverlight in maps = amazing !! goodbye google.” While we won’t actually be saying goodbye to Google anytime soon, it will be interesting to see when and how Microsoft implements the changes–dropping the full 2.0 package at once or slowly adding features over time. The official MS word is “”We’re very excited about some of the new Bing features set to roll out over the next few months, but have nothing to announce today.” [via CNET]
