Jul 02, 2009 - By Chris Weiss
In news that should make more than a few gamers wet their pants, Electronic Arts will release Battlefield 1943 next week. Dates are July 8 for the Xbox and July 9 on the PlayStation Network. It will also be available on PCs, but not until September. The latest Battlefield incarnation will feature two game modes and four maps and will allow for destructible environments and vehicular warfare. It will host up to 24 players per match for battles seeped in all out carnage. Choose either the U.S. Marines or Imperial Japanese Navy. The game will cost 1200 Microsoft points or $15 on PS Network. A fifth map will be unlocked when players reach 43 million kills onĀ Xbox Live & Playstation Network, so use your time effectively. [via USA Today and Perez Start]
