Amazon had better go ahead and hurry things up with that Target Kindle distribution. Pressure is already fully on thanks to the Apple iPad and now the B&N Nook will be showing its pretty two faces at Best Buy stores everywhere. The book giant and electronic retailer reached a deal to distribute Barnes & Noble Nooks through the 1,070 Best Buy locations around the country, making the Nook even more accessible. The e-reader will go live at Best Buy on April 18.

The deal also helps get Nook software onto devices distributed by Best Buy, calling for BN eReader software to come pre-installed on some of the computers and smartphones sold at Best Buys.

B&N already offers the Nook at its 723 retail locations, providing an advantage over the Amazon Kindle, which is only available on the Web. A leak last week indicates that Amazon will move to compete in the brick-and-mortar sphere by launching Kindles in Target stores beginning later this month. [via Reuters]
