Can’t choose between Fender, Vox, Marshall and Soldano? Why not mod them all with Avid’s Digidesign Eleven Rack? Purists, don’t go running in the opposite direction just yet. Avid swears this box provides better modding than the norm, thanks to two features: Tune cloning for more accurate simulation and “True-Z,” which reduces the input impedance of your amps and pedals. In addition to amp emulation, the Eleven Rack mods classic stomp boxes from Ibanez, Electro-Harmonix and Univox, from fuzz and phasers to flangers and wah. Inputs include 1/4-inch and XLR, and emote control is possible through MIDI. For good measure, a copy of ProTools LE is bundled. But here’s the damage: $1,259 when it ships at the end of the month.
