AT&T has introduced the ZERO Charger, a USB phone charger that works with a multitude of low-power USB devices including the iPhone. While a phone charger is generally about the least interesting thing that happens in the electronics world, this one offers one distinct selling point: it stops drawing power the minute the phone is charged. Other phone chargers continue to suck power even after the phone is fully charged, essentially sending electricity down the pipes. And to tickle your green parts a little more, AT&T even uses recycled-paper packaging.

You just know this one will be handy when you plug the phone in and take a nap/watch TV/have sex/go to the store. It’ll be coming your way beginning in May for a yet-to-be-disclosed price (given the recycled paper touch, I’m expecting it to be just a tad more expensive than I’d like). [via Electronista]
