The rumors have finally come true, with Microsoft slashing the price of its Xbox 360 Elite to $299, starting Friday. The high-end version of Microsoft’s gaming console is most distinguishable by its black casing and 120 GB hard drive, compared to the 60 GB hard drive of the Xbox 360 Pro. And as predicted, the Pro will be discontinued once supplies run out. For now, you can get quite a deal on it: $250, and possibly a free controller if you pick the console up at Target. With Sony recently confirming the Playstation 3 Slim and corresponding price cut, I feel like everyone can relax now. All that remains is the age-old decision: Which console do you get?
