Asus’ Eee PC 900 harkens back to the days when netbooks were truly simple devices, designed only to surf the Web and check e-mail, and now Woot’s got one of these early specimens on sale for the rock-bottom price of $170, plus $5 shipping. You’ll get an 8.9-inch LCD screen, 1 GB of RAM and a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, all running on a Linux operating system. And with a solid state drive with just 4 GB capacity, you’d better be fully prepared to live on the cloud. It’s a great deal if simplicity is key, or if you’re looking to experiment with Linux-based operating systems, like Ubuntu.
