Artanova Athena Sofa With Built-In Multimedia System

Here’s one of those products that makes you realize that the Jetson-like future you daydreamed about as a child is actually happening right now. This Athena sofa from Swiss company Artanova features an integrated multimedia PC with two LCDs that pop out of each armrest. Useless, you say? True, the prevalence of the laptop and netbook that sit right on your coffee table throw the need for a built-in sofa-PC into question. However, the sofa also includes an iPhone/iPod dock and a full set of hidden speakers with 8-inch subwoofer. Of course, so does the home theater sitting straight in front of your sofa. No matter how useless and overpriced ($15, 436), you can’t deny a certain cool factor to it. And it doesn’t look half bad as a couch either. [Oh Gizmo! via Dvice]
