New Macbook Pros Apple Updates MacBook Pro Line

As expected, Apple has announced updates for the MacBook Pro Line that include a 10-hour battery and faster processing. The new MacBook Pros are available in 13-, 15- and 17-inch sizes.

The 13-inch MacBook gets upgraded with NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics and the extended-life battery rated at 10 hours. It also features an Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz or 2.66 GHz) and 4 GB of RAM. Hard drives are either 250 GB or 320 GB. Prices start at $1,199.

The 15- and 17-inch models feature either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and are up to 50 percent faster than last-generation models, according to Apple. Each computer features dual graphics processors seamlessly controlled by Apple’s automatic graphics switching–NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M for peak performance and Intel HD Graphics for energy efficiency. These computers deliver eight to nine hours per charge.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is available in three models: one with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and 320GB hard drive at $1,799; one with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and 500GB hard drive at $1,999; and one with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and 500GB hard drive at $2,199. The new 17-inch MacBook Pro features a 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and 500GB hard drive for $2,299.

All new models are available now through the Apple Store. [via Apple]
