Apple to Unveil Magic Trackpad at WWDC
Jun 07, 2010 - By Chris Weiss
So we know the iPhone 4G is coming later today, but a last-minute rumor indicates that it will be joined by a new Magic Trackpad. Like the Magic Mouse, Apple leverages its multi-touch expertise and packages it into a computer peripheral. Designed to connect via Bluetooth, the trackpad will be a wireless accessory for desktops. The trackpad is rumored to be small and sleek enough to look great sitting on the side of a desktop keyboard or notebook and will include about six inches of pad space and handwriting recognition. It’s also rumored to combine the features of the Magic Mouse and MacBook Pro trackpad.
Several months ago, an Apple patent application detailing such a trackpad device was discovered. We’ll have the full story in a few short hours. [via Engadget]
