Apple Introduces IPhone OS 3.1

Prior to getting into the music-related heart of the event, Steve Jobs spent some time detailing iPhone OS 3.1. Jobs detailed two particular aspects of the OS update: a Genius function and ringtones. The Genius function will be applied to apps and will make app recommendations to the owner based upon what he’s already running. On the ringtone end, Jobs stated that there will be 30,000 ringtones at the “breakthrough price” of $1.29 each. IPhone OS 3.1 is available for free today. [via Engadget]
