Apple Drops Magic Trackpad
By Chris Weiss
Computer users that love their notebook trackpad so much that they want to ditch the mouse and enjoy trackpad loveliness on their desktops have a new option. Delivering some of its Macbook Pro multi-touchery in a larger template, Apple announced that it will offer an add-on trackpad called the Magic Trackpad.
Designed to work with any Mac computers–even notebooks–the Magic Trackpad is a wireless Bluetooth pad that supports gestures including swiping, pinching and scrolling. You can also disable gestures if you find them counterproductive.
Like the Macbook Pro’s trackpad, the Magic Trackpad is made with a glass surface–only with 80 percent more surface to run your chubby fingers across. The trackpad even sits at the same height and angle as the Apple Wireless Keyboard, providing a seamless set-up for moving from typing to navigating.
The Magic Trackpad is available in Apple’s store for $69. [Apple via Dvice]
