Apple Drops Its First iPad Ad During the Oscars

I try to avoid award shows like eating glass. I mean, how many different ways can these Hollywood types congratulate each other? So I didn’t catch a moment of the Academy Awards last night and didn’t get to see Apple’s first iPad commercial. Luckily, YouTube is around to catch me up.
The commercial shows the iPad in all forms of action, and shows a fast, sweeping interface that actually makes me a little more interested in the device. And like any Apple commercial all that iPad action is set to some music.
Take a look at the commercial below and see if it affects your views on the iPad one way or the other. If it makes you want to drop a few hundred on an iPad of your own, you won’t have long to wait. Apple announced last week that the iPad will be available for presale starting March 12. The tablet will hit shelves on April 3. [via GearLog]
