htctattoo3 Android Gets Personalized With HTC Tattoo

In what seems to me like a shot at the iPhone’s rigidity, the HTC Tattoo is being marketed as a highly customizable smartphone. Bringing “broad personalization to the masses,” the HTC Tattoo has changeable covers for any aesthetic. More importantly, the user interface allows plenty of control, with a home page that holds whatever data the user deems is most important. Though it’s powered by Google’s Android operating system, the Tattoo uses a custom interface called HTC Sense, which lets the user put links to important apps on the home page and create separate pages by category, such as work and play. For hardware, the HTC Tattoo has a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, digital compass, FM radio, 512 MB of storage and a MicroSD card slot. Europe gets it first, in October, with other regions to follow, but there’s no word yet on pricing. [HTC via PC World]
