Amazon to Replace Damaged Kindles – After a design flaw caused cracking Amazon Kindle readers, a group of Kindle customers filed a class action law suit of $5 million.  Responding to this legal pressure, Amazon will replace the damaged Kindles with new readers– yet that is as far as Amazon’s response will go.  It has not issued an apology or any other statement directly in response to the law suit, but carried out a rather press-worthy customer service response that might help their case should it reach the courts.  Stay tuned– and if you’re a Kindle owner who has experienced any cracking, we’d love to hear from you.  Reach out in the comments below…  [via our own Jared Newman at PC World]
