Acer Hitting the Market With Two Tablets in Fourth Quarter
By Chris Weiss
Remember that huge market of tablets just sitting at the floodgates waiting to give the iPad a little competition? We’re halfway through 2010 and starting to think “Where the hell are they?” The short answer: waiting for the holiday season, like good little electronic products.
A report on DigiTimes today indicates that Acer has two Android tablets on the horizon–7- and 10-inch models. It will be bringing them to market in the fourth quarter of this year. The tablets will run on the new and improved Android 2.2 and will feature ARM-based processors. Acer will also be introducing two netbooks within the next couple of months
Acer gave the world a sneak peak at the 7-inch model in late May and it features a Qwerty keyboard and is expected to get 3G. [DigiTimes via IntoMobile via Slippery Brick]
