4Chan Blocked by AT&T: This Will End Badly

4Chan Blocked by AT&T – The imageboard and community forum at 4chan.org (nsfw) has been blocked by AT&T in its Southern California region, according to reports. The 4chan community has been a controversial news item in recent history, having been a source of collective hacking, internet flash mobs and even illegal pornography. Recently, 4chan initiated a “YouTube Porn Day”, where a burst of private videos containing illicit material were made public at a coordinated time, flushing the popular video site with adult material. It is doubtful that the 4chan community will take this act quietly, as internet demonstrations against ATT have possibly already begun. The image above shows a CNN iReport falsely claiming the death of ATT’s CEO Randall Stephenson. In the false report, a witness claimed that Stephenson had, “male dancers everywhere and the best blow west of the Mississippi”. Knowing the history of 4Chan and the community’s reach, this is likely just the tip of the iceberg. [image via cnet]
