Google Working On Its Own Netbook?

Annnnddd…I’m officially sick of writing about Google for the week.

It seems the Google Phone rumors were getting a little too stagnant, so now the tech world is buzzing about another piece of Google rumorware–a netbook. Word is that as Google works to get its Chrome OS operational it’s decided that the hardware is best manufactured to its own set of specifications. Reportedly, Google is working closely with a manufacturer on developing a netbook to run Chrome. Just like the G phone, the netbook will be Google branded and sold directly to consumers.

No real word on hardware specs, but ARM processor and Nvidia Tegra graphics have been thrown out there as speculation. Release could come as soon as next year.

Over on PC World, Crave’s very own Jared Newman is throwing out some speculation on a computer world dominated from every angle by the unstoppable giant. The way Google’s rolling,  I’d question whether we’ll be able to hit the head in the future without touching something with a little Google in it. [via PC World and Dvice]
